My Story
MY story like most others is not one of glamor and ease, but with Scentsy has brought a sisterhood of fellow consultants who became like a family to me. On December 9th 2009 I took a flying leap and became a Scentsy consultant without ever seeing a single product. My husband had been at Army Basic Training for just under a month and I needed something to keep me busy while he was gone.
In the years that followed, we moved almost 25 times and things were always changing, but Scentsy always stayed the same. It was my constant, my normalcy and safe place. I wasn't alone. SO many other Scentsy sisters were in my same shoes. It was nice to be able to fall back on them when needed or to be there and support them when they needed it.
In 2012 my husband volunteered to meet up with an expeditionary unit overseas. While I was bracing myself for that and trying to hone in on what this would mean for our family, I was broadsided with a completely different type of situation. My husband was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. His career that we had both come to love was now over and needed to have a pretty serious surgery 4 weeks before we needed to move. I was terrified.
This adventure eventually lead to me having to step down from being a Scentsy Brand consultant. I had worked hard over the last 5 years. I had built up to a team of 18 consultants and an achieved rank I was really proud of, but God said now is not your time for this. I needed to be there for my husband.
Fast forward and here we are. Now is the time. God has been putting Scentsy back in front of me several times over the last few months and I decided to follow his lead and take the plunge of fun again :D Im excited to see where Scentsy leads me to this time. I am even more excited to see who it allows me to meet, make happy by blessing them and helping them find the right products to make them smile.
